Ospesjel is a short 5-10 minute click-through story about the soul of a book making a five-year pact with a trickster spirit to turn her into a human. The five years are almost up, and as she slowly turns back into a novel, she returns to the spirit to beg it to keep her human by any means necessary.

This was made as a final for my narrative thesis class for my illustration degree I got back in 2023. My first game and first time coding, looking back it could be better coded together, but for a first time I think it's pretty good! ^^

Hope you enjoy!

Your illustrations are absolutely gorgeous! The atmosphere is seeping through from the very beginning to the end. The writing is magical in a way i feel is often very hard to achieve. It feels very eerie and majestic, like dark fantasy story. In a way, it feels much bigger than the reader and the main character herself. That's really really cool!

Unfortunately i did run into an issue(on browser), where the images took a long time to load from being pixelated. A shame because the art is just beautiful. Don't know whether that's anyhow useful lol, but saying just in case.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and magical story feel.

I'm still figuring out coding in general so the browser version is generally lower quality than if you were to download the game directly, and the audio can be finicky in browser as well. I'm still not sure if it's the engine I used or just cause I'm definitely not as good of a coder as I am an artist/writer lol :')

But thank you for playing and sticking through  anyways!  ^^ I appreciate it and I'm glad you were fond of my little story!

Amazing, fairy tale story book art. Short and sweet, but worth the read.

Thank you so much! ^^  I'm happy it turned out fairy tale like!
